Here is an example of an adults or New Year kids Vision Board!
New Year New You Kids Vision Board!
The New Year offers an opportunity for kids to plan out what visions they have for the future!
This New Year, how about giving kids a kind of pathway to start fresh and plan for their take on their future that will be a ‘New Year Kids Vision Board’
SPEND QUALITY TIME TOGETHER!
This is a chance for parents and kids to talk about their visions and expectations, and have a near-realistic view of what they would like to see, make changes or implement them to complete their visions.

MY INTENTION A KID’S VISION BOARD!
In this post, I’d like to show you how to do a New Year’s Kid’s Vision Board!
This would be taking any available pictures, from magazines, odd meaningful words, as well as scribbling some inspirational words that would represent the challenge or vision your child has together with you in mind, to create a New Year’s Kid’s Vision Board!
WHAT YOU LIKE!

In this way, a decision could be made to do a Monthly target or a general layout where anything goes whenever or whatever you want to express!
JUST WITH PICS!
One example would be to have a large board, in the centre, the words ‘New Year, New you’! surrounded by pictures or images of each challenge.
JUST TEXT!
Alternatively, it could be a wordy vision board. There would be a lot of optimistic sayings or words surrounding a picture of your child!

THOUGHTS BEHIND THE VSION BOARD!
Another way a Vision Board could be presented is for your kids to include themselves in a story within a frame, writing or seeing their future.
They can follow a favourite character from a story and include emotions or aspects like ‘Adventure’, Kindness’ or ‘Learning’.
Check out later what I recommend!
Take a look at two ‘New Year Kid’s Vision Boards!
Here are a couple of ideas on how to put together a vision board. One is working together with the family, building a future together.
The other is working with words, formulating as you go, using odd sayings and quotes that mean something!
ARE YOU READY?
Resources required for the Vision Board.
RESOURCES!
One large piece of brown packaging card.
A mix of coloured cards or papers.
Some old magazines.
Coloured felt-tip pens, including black.
Scissors, large/small.
Glue stick.

LET’S REFLECT!
GET BUSY!
This is the result of cutting out whatever I could find in the magazines. You or your kids can write little sayings or quotes of their choice and spread them wherever they want on the Vision Board!
SURF THE NET!
I was lucky and found a variety of pictures, although you can use some of your favourite images from the internet!
SHARE VISIONS!
I tried to make it child-friendly, but I got carried away, and there are probably some of my visions included, lol!

Your kids could include a ‘Hero’ from their favourite book.
Their hero could play a part in challenging them and seeing them achieve their visions.

Spiderman can be featured throughout the vision board, sitting on favourite words or pics, or even adding a black cobweb here and there!

Etsy offers these super personalised stories so that your kids can embark on an adventure and be part of a great story!
If your child enjoys imagining exciting adventures and dreaming about who they might become in the future, then personalised children’s books can make a wonderfully magical gift idea too.
Some personalised story books on Etsy cleverly include your child’s name throughout the story, helping them feel part of the adventure itself.
Whether they are exploring dinosaur lands, becoming a brave superhero, travelling through magical worlds, or discovering exciting new places, seeing their own name appear in the book can make story time feel even more special and memorable.
A personalised kids reading book. David and the Dinosaurs. By Letterfest.
One fun idea could be a personalised dinosaur adventure story, where your child becomes the main character on an exciting prehistoric journey.
Watching them spot their own name throughout the book adds an extra layer of excitement, imagination, and confidence, while encouraging a love of reading and creative thinking, too.
It also links beautifully with a New Year vision board activity, as children can dream big, imagine future adventures, and explore all the exciting possibilities they would love to experience one day.
WHAT’S MORE……..
PRECIOUS TIME TOGETHER!
So how about making time to read to them, or read together and enjoy the picturesque adventures that are beautifully illustrated?
AS PRESENTS!
These would make great Birthday gifts and would be a lovely surprise for your child to see their name in the story!
TO CONCLUDE!
In this post, I’ll show you how to create a New Year Kid’s Vision Board and touch upon other ways to present your ideas!
WHAT YOU NEED!
All you have to do is recycle a large piece of brown packaging card, pictures, text, words, or strap lines you can cut from any magazine.
Or download interesting images and words from the internet, or write them freehand on colourful paper!
WHAT TO DO!
Once you have cut, highlighted, and arranged them on your vision board, Viola, you will have a super vision board to manifest your dreams!
I hope I have given you a few ideas to play around with.
So take a moment, and think with your kids about what visions you have for the future and start your collection now!
INCORPORATE RECYCLING IN YOUR VISION BOARD!
Another idea for a Kids Vision Board would be to focus on recycling and sustainability, and how we can do our bit to help our planet!
Within your VisionBoard, you can show how to do fun craft projects using your recycling and thinking about the 3Rs:Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
This brings me to a previous project that might be of interest to you on how to make a Turtle and her family out of Egg cartons!
This is a great idea to create a New Year’s Kid’s Vision Board! I have created vision boards as an adult but I did not consider the value to kids to use their imagination in this way. It has so many immediate and long-term benefits for the kids. Thanks so much for sharing this.
I’m glad you liked the idea for kids to do their own vision boards! You are right kids do have an amazing imagination and we can under estimate them! Just think if they can plan ahead in this way it can be a powerful way to help them move forward and achieve their visions! Afterall, they have years ahead of them so they will be building upon their growing journey as well!
Thanks for your kind comment and I would love to hear what impact your vision boards have had till this day!

I love this article. Starting a vision board with kids at a young age will be so helpful for them for when they are older and in the big bad world of work.
If they ever go into any leadership jobs or positions, then vision is so important for leaders. So learning this at a young age through setting up a vision board as you have described in this article I believe will be so helpful.
Thank you for sharing and keep up the amazing work you do.
Thanks Tom, we don’t think of kids doing anything like this, but you would be surprised how mature they can be. It’s like challenging them to be ambitious, think logically and having an optimistic view about all sorts of things and you can see what really matters to them, this way you can support them helping them along the way. Also they can build on their confidence having more of an opinion making better decisions! So you are right Tom, this would be an ideal stepping stone in the right direction!
As always, I appreciate your support!
